Dear Saints,
God has been doing so much in and through our ministry over the past few months; it has truly been amazing! Just in the past couple of weeks, I have seen God move to provide for myself and the organization.
First, here is a little update from Thailand.
God has been doing so much in the Red Light District over the past month through our ministry here and the teams that have partnered with us. We have seen a lot of growth and life change in several bar girls and have been in contact with a few who are interested in leaving the bars and going through our restoration program over the next year. We are continuing to pray for more life change and more of God’s presence to reach out to the men, women and children affected by human trafficking in Chiang Mai. We have had many teams from all over the world in the past month, and it is a joy to see them grow and be used by God to change the lives around them!
This past month, we saw even more exciting growth and life change! We had a group of World Racers parents come through to do the Parent Vision Trip, which is the same trip that brought me to Chiang Mai in the first place. We also had a group from Washington that came and built 18 bunk beds to help get the hostel up and running. These two teams along with an Adventures in Missions Passport team and a Youth With A Mission team from Germany have been a true blessing to our ministry here in Thailand.
The second thing I want to share with you is the addition of Kaleigh Ward to the CODE team. She will be working with us to help put together newsletters, mailings and promotional material as well as aiding us in keeping the webpage up to date. She is still finishing out her time on the World Race, so if you can, lease be praying for the remainder of her journey.
Thirdly, as many of you may know, I had the opportunity to visit Japan in the early part of this month. God blessed that time and allowed me to come alongside Zach in helping him start off his ministry well. God has already been so faithful to Zach and his ministry, and we are excited and expecting good things in the future!
As always, we ask you to continue to partner with us in prayer, in service, and through your giving. We are continuing to grow and the more we grow, the more we rely on the help of our supporters. We can’t do it without you!
In conclusion, I will be returning Stateside for about 6 weeks at the end of March and will be spending most of my time at home in New York. However I am hoping to take a trip down to Atlanta at some point, so stay tuned for a chance to see me as I may be coming to a city near you!
In Him,
Matthew Murray
